Incoming DK Nerfs, DW, and Gargoyle…

... testing this change when it eventually hits the PTR. No, it is not currently nerfed on PTR. But when it is, you need to post about it in reference to Unholy DPS. Them nerfing Garg is fine, so long as they do something to increase Unholy DPS. Because if it gets hit upside the head, and nothing else changes…then Unholy is getting the short end of the stick.
Now as far as DW is concerned…
This needs to be nerfed, but their idea of changing KM to a PPM effect is possibly murder on that talent and horribly screws Frost as a whole. ...
Dual Wield Spec and Summon Gargoyle - explanations and reasonsing behind the nerfs/changes.

... Blizzard and many posters are trying to say how the big problem at the moment with DW is that Killing Machine is too OP with 2 fast weapons. *shrug* The fact is that it is only part of the problem. And to make matters worse Blizzard is compounding the problem with the removal of the 6 sec CD on ...

... KM was officially listed as a 5PPM by Blizz. Blizz said this will make it more appealing for a DW build, but my understanding has always been that Slow weapons benefit more from PPM mechanics than fast. Meaning 2H will gain the most. I’ll have to go do some homework and find out if I accidentally mislead you guys or if Blizz made a snafu and didn’t realize it. ...

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!! And Blizz epic failed, lol.

... So…I thought Blizz was going to screw over Killing Machine pretty badly by moving it to a PPM mechanic. I assumed they’d set it at like 2-3 tops. But oh no…Blizz, in their infinite wisdom, set it to 5. If you’re unsure what all of that means, it is explained in: ...

... You work in FS on any Killing Machine proc (sometimes pushing back a Rune). If you will go over 100 RP, and you have Runes ready you immediately fire off a FS whether you have a KM proc up or not. This rotation is a PITA. You mess it up once, and it borks you up bad. I highly recommend ...
Questions about Death Knights?!?! Answers by SJ!!
Skeleton Jack —
... This isn’t a set question, but enough questions related to this that it deserved comment. Killing Machine is a great talent, but a lot of people try to do “Runic Power Dumps” at the end of a rotation which wastes the potential of KM. Ideally for Frost Specs specifically with KM, you want to spread out the Frost Strikes as much as possible so that you have a greater chance of getting a KM proc on FS, rather than being wasted on say Icy Touch which does less damage. So basically you’d use Runes until you have about 40 RP, then fire off a FS. Then ...
Ghostcrawler talks some more on Retribution DPS
WoW.com —
... I'll be honest with you. Retribution DPS has made me a rather sad panda lately. It wasn't my DPS exactly, but I sat down to watch my brother-in-law farm Valkyrs in Valkyrion with his three-week old Level 80 Death Knight. He pulled about five mobs and proceeded to demolish them. With Cinderglacier and Killing Machine proccing, he hit all mobs with a Howling Blast for about 6-7k each, and topped things off with a 7k Frost Strike. It made my jaw drop. Mind you, my brother-in-law is an excellent player, so this probably isn't your average Death ...
Preliminary 3.2 Frost and Dual Wield Specs for Death Knights
Skeleton Jack —
... : Originally this was using two separate tables for the MH and OH weapon for hit/miss/crit. So you could miss with your OH weapon, but hit with the MH weapon. Last I heard this was fixed supposedly, but I cannot confirm that. Also, only the MH strike uses a Killing Machine proc, meaning most of the benefit from KM is gone as it only applies to about half of a FS. ...
