But... but... I'm Affliction
Almost Evil —
... change the need. I had been going from a pvp spec to a pve raid spec. I had decided that if the other affliction lock was not there I would go affliction the other times shadow mage. I was paying to redo my talents before each raid anyway. So this made sense. Welcome to the BIG crits. I was having critical hits in the 5K-8k range. And don’t get me started when bosses were vulnerable. /drool I manage two dots, my curse and Improved Immolate. Yes. My shadow bolt is on my 1 key. I have not broken it … yet. My current shadow mage spec is ...

... The Homogenization and Redundancy of Some Buffs and Abilities
The homogenization and redundancy of buffs really should be an issue to discuss in its own entry. I have a lot of negative things to say about this change. But I will try to keep it short and sweet in this entry to give you an idea of how it will reshape the landscape of raiding for Wrath.
As it currently stands, most classes and specs provide unique buffs no others have. Blizzard plans to change this. Unfortunately, it will also have ...
Molten Core vs ISB (the “feels” arguement)
Mystic Chicanery —
This is the “feels” arguement. There will be no math involved in this comparison. Check out EJ. I’m sure they have math.

Yabut.. grrrr.
Is it better to have something that procs rarely but benefits alot of spells.. or something that procs frequently but benefits only one spell?

... Improved Shadow Bolt: While I don’t throw Shadow Bolts like I used to, having ISB means that I save the mages the effort of keeping stacks of Scorch up for much less effort than what it takes them. Sure, I lose a little bit of DPS, but utility is a wonderfully awesome thing that should never be underestimated. DPS can be found most anywhere: utility and versatility can not. Please note – if you regularly run with more than one Warlock, co-ordinate your Shadow Bolting. If more than one person casts it, it cancels out the previous one. Don’t waste ...

... All of that said, if you have a Destro Warlock in your raid/party, you can completely ignore Scorch. They have a talent that tacks on to their main nuke, Shadow Bolt, that will do this for everyone without the decrease in DPS. ...
