Another point in Improved Mend Pet is never a bad idea.
Pathfinding would be different, since when we fly places we can’t use a speed-boost trinket anymore. And the extra boost to Aspect of the Pack would make the timed event in Culling of Stratholm a tiny bit easier.
Improved Revive Pet seems moot now that we have Heart of the Phoenix.
Endurance Training doesn’t seem to be a better choice ...

Still tweaking with level cap talents, currently one point in Go for the Throat and one in Rapid Killing which may switch to both in GftT since her current crit rate is quite low and the super-low Bestial Wrath cooldown with full Efficiency is working wonders for mana conservation.
The Lich King overhaul for hunters opens up all kinds of questions for the talents though. With Lick Your Wounds and Heart Of The Phoenix on my instance/raid kitty, are two points in Improved Mend Pat ...

... I'm going to advise against Ferocity pets because they're just too squishy. Although their DPS is good, a dead Ferocity pet puts out a lot less damage than a live hardy, tanky specced Tenacity pet would. Heart of the Phoenix is somewhat of an answer to the problem, but you have to sacrifice DPS in order to get it. Also, Ferocity doesn't have Roar of Sacrifice, which is pretty necessary for PvP in my opinion.
