Mana regeneration changing dramatically in 3.1
WoW.com — Filed under: Druid, Mage, Priest, Shaman, Patches, News items The devs have been telling us for some time that they're not happy with the current state of (most) healers having infinite mana, and it looks like the reckoning is going to come in 3.1. And make no mistake, we're getting hit hard. Outside-of-5-second-rule regeneration is decreasing. They think the combination of HoTs and clearcasting let us stay OO5SR too long and get too much mana back. Mana regenerated by Spirit is being decreased "across the board." However, talents ...

Blue: 3.1 Changes (Mana Regen and More)
Resto4Life — Bornakk today released information on the changes to mana regeneration in Patch 3.1: As we have suggested, we have become concerned that mana regeneration is currently too powerful, especially for healers. We want players to have to keep an eye on mana. We don’t want you to go out of mana every fight, but ...

Divine Plea Idea
Blessing of Kings — The details of the upcoming Divine Plea nerf: Since paladins rely less on Spirit as a mana-regeneration stat, we have to address them in other ways. We don’t want to change Illumination or Replenishment. However, we are going to increase the healing penalty on Divine Plea from 20% to 50%. Divine Plea was originally intended to help Protection and Retribution paladins stay full on mana. It should be a decision for Holy paladins, not something that is automatically used every cooldown. I am fine with Divine Plea being nerfed. It isn't necessary for ...

A plea for Divine Plea
WoW.com — Blizzard is going to swing the nerf bat and it's going to hit Divine Plea. With the intended changes to mana regeneration mechanics in Patch 3.1, where Spirit will be nerfed to curb mana replenishment in raid scenarios, Paladins stand to be unfazed. Spirit isn't a useful stat for Paladins, so Blizzard is looking into raising the healing penalty that comes with Divine Plea, a spell intended to help Protection and Retribution Paladins recover mana. Even with the 20% healing penalty, Divine Plea gives Paladins such phenomenal mana recovery that they don't think twice about using it. Used in conjunction with Avenging Wrath, the ...

Mana Regeneration
Adventures of a Dwarf Priest — I haven’t talked about this here yet, but as posted last week on the forums they are messing with Mana regeneration again.  They have decided they gave us too much and we are not going out of mana.  This change will effect all caster classes but I think it effects Priests the most, followed by probably Druids.  I think Priests probably make the biggest use of Spirit regen. Given that I’m Disc and almost always in the FSR I don’t think it will effect me much when I’m healing.  It will effect me when I’m out in the world questing though.  Right now I don’t have to spend much time drinking.  Usually I can regen ...

Arcane Brilliance: Patch 3.1 MusingsWoW.com
Each week Arcane Brilliance dispeneses a tall glass of sweet Mage content. Sometimes this content consists of pure, undistilled truth. Other times, there's some crap in the mix. I blame Blizzard , for putting the truth and the crap right next to each other on the same shelf. You'd think ...
Mage class changes in patch 3.1, so farWoW.com
You can subtitle this post: "Where's my Mage changes at, dawg?" While other classes have been getting some insane changes ( no more consumable ammo for Hunter? Huh?), the Mage class was left with little information. The only major change that really came out in the last day was that there will ...
A look at the stated Priest changes for patch 3.1WoW.com
By now you've seen that Eyonix has started announcing some class changes for the upcoming patch 3.1 . Priests were actually the first class up to bat this time around, and there are a handful of really cool changes in there. Some of them way cooler than they really need to be, so we'll see ...
