Aspect of the Viper changed again
WoW.com — Filed under: Hunter, Wrath of the Lich King The Hunter mana regeneration tool, Aspect of the Viper, has been revised again. Currently, in live, it provides passive mana regen. It was recently announced that it was going to be changed to provide 100% of your damage as mana regen, but cut your damage output by 50% (less with talents). This lets the hunter switch it on when they need mana, fill up their mana pool, and switch back to Hawk to DPS some more, as opposed to being in Viper all the time as many hunters do these days. ...

Aspect of the Expurgated
Out of Range — ... , the one that buffs melee AP, was removed in the last WotLK beta release. Oh well. Guess I won't have to worry about mana after all, since that leaves me stuck with Viper.

Marksman, the new Burstspec?
Full time WoW addict — ... Then i would switch to Aspect of the Viper (dealing 50% less damage and restoring mana/damage) and i would get 560+ mana back per shot. Kill off one mob and your bar will be full again, even using special shots while doing so... not bad right? Not so sure about that myself. ...

Be a good hunter the easy way in WOTLK
steady shot — ... your speed (but stuns you if you get hit); Aspect of the Viper increases your mana regeneration; etc.  Aspects, especially Aspect of the Viper have changed a little bit. Have Aspect of the Hawk active at all times during combat.  When you run low on mana, switch to Aspect of the Viper, while you shoot away to regenerate mana.  When your mana is back, switch back to Aspect of the Hawk. Note: Blizzard are still messing around with Aspect of the Viper, but it currently regenerates your mana much quicker than it used to, but at a cost - you must be shooting at something, and ...
